Sasha Grey

Sasha Grey never seemed to just accept intensity; she went after it, and she had a way of looking into the lens as if challenging the viewer to keep up. That fearlessness, together with a direct, unsmiling intelligence, made her short career feel like a manifesto.

She performed for only about three years, from 2006 to 2009, yet she won AVN Female Performer of the Year in 2008, and much of her most talked-about work came from bondage and fetish shoots. She then walked away to act for Steven Soderbergh, make experimental music, write fiction and DJ, and in 2023 she was inducted into two industry halls of fame. On BDSM Mansion her work spans bondage, lesbian and anal scenes, from her first bondage movie The Journalist to a chase-and-capture shoot, with Princess Donna, Satine Phoenix and Isis Love.
